A passion for creating films
My focus is on the planning and production of short films by bringing people together and giving a project structure with achievable goals.
Production
This is where I’m at home, with spreadsheets and charts. Boring to many, but trying to piece everything together in a tight plan is my favorite version of Tetris.
I love working with everyone else on a project to make sure everyone is alligned to the same goals and vision.
Casting
Casting can be quite overwhelming with the sheer amount of responses to a given ad, and I love trying to make sense of it all, picturing potential artists in various roles. I love the freedom casting can give to performers to play with the characters and dialog.
Assistant Director
I love being right in the middle of it all come shooting day, seeing everything come together and making tweaks and changes on the fly to keep the day running to schedule.
Camera Opporator
Comfortable with most types of cameras, and with good direction, can generally get the shot our DOP is after.
Gaffer / Grip
Always the one with a bag full of cables, tape and ties to cover whats needed on the day.
Editor
Certainly not my strong point from a creative point of view, but more than comfortable for initial rough cuts & more basic editing. Experience with Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
